The Lord of Glory Food Pantry is a welcoming place for individuals and families to receive needed food, care, and support. Our pantry resembles a small grocery store where shoppers can self-select high-quality groceries, including dry goods, meat, dairy, and hygiene items.

What to expect when you visit

What do I need to bring?
You will be required to show your photo ID each time you visit. If you are not already registered with Link2Feed, you will need to provide the names and birth dates of all the people living at the address given. You are encouraged to bring your own reusable shopping bags. Plastic bags are available if you need them.
Do I need to register?
We use the Link2Feed database. If you are not currently registered in that database, you may need to register before using the pantry. We can help you do that! You will need to provide a list of all the people living at your address, as well as provide their birth dates.
How often can I come?
You may only use the pantry one time each week.
What time should I arrive?
You should not arrive more than 30 minutes before we open. We are NOT first come, first served. Random numbers are given to those waiting in line when we first open. If you arrive at times other than what is posted, you will be asked to return when we are open. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before we close to ensure you have time to shop.

Helping our neighbors

There's more than one way to give! We couldn't do what we do to provide hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to our neighbors without help from supporters like you!

Volunteer

Our pantry is staffed by volunteers who are caring members of Lord of Glory and the community. They help during open pantry hours, as well as numerous other times throughout the week by picking up food from our partner grocery stores and stocking shelves. If you'd like to get involved, complete the volunteer information form.

Donations may be dropped off anytime in the donation box located outside the building near the church office doors.

April's item of the month is personal hygiene products. These are items like soaps, shampoos & toothpaste.

Our families are always in need of:
•  canned fruits & vegetables
•  cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix
•  rice & instant potatoes
•  peanut butter & jelly
•  canned meat
•  pasta & pasta sauce
•  macaroni & cheese
•  canned soups, ravioli, ramen
•  canned beans & dry beans
•  coffee & tea
•  condiments & cooking aids

Donate funds

Financial contributions are greatly appreciated and allow us to purchase food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank at significantly reduced prices.
